Ken Kessler reviews Jan 2003 Hi Fi News page 89 -both Alison LPs.
Wow! These two post - modernist bluegrass LP's love analogue playback. The strings benefit most, but her voice (ever delicate and gossamer light) sounds even more deliciously lucid and wispy than ever. Union Station are a crack outfit and there's extra delight to be found in the snappier, more open bass and cleaner percussion. If you haven't sampled Krauss, this is a great way to start.
